Cycling: 18 miles.
Total: 6 runs & 3 rides for 66 miles.
This week ended up being a good recovery week. I can always tell when a recovery week does the job because I'm itching to get back into the higher mileage. Back is still a tad sore, but not to the point of bothering my runs. Wasn't able to get out to the trails any this week mostly due to work scheduling, with the days getting longer this will hopefully be a non-issue soon.
The weather was great this weekend. I was able to ride out to the Legacy Trail on Saturday to get in my long run, then ride home. The combined mileage for the day ended up being right at 26 miles. I actually had one of my fastest long runs in a while, even after a 6 mile ride to the trail. Just one of those days where it clicks. Need to be mindful of calories when the run distance goes up & probably pack some gu for these excursions. Also went out for a 6 mile ride on Sunday before an easy 4 miler, during the ride I noticed a wicked soreness in the saddle. I guess it's time to invest in some kind of padded shorts.
Decent jump in mileage next week & I can't wait. Hopefully the weather stays decent.
